Resumo

Este artigo analisa os desafios para erradicar a pobreza e extrema pobreza na América Latina. Além disso, procura compreender as recomendações da Comissão Interamericana Comissão de Direitos Humanos sobre este tema. Assim, este artigo enfoca as Nações Unidas e a Rede Interamericana sistemas de direitos humanos para combater a pobreza (os instrumentos legais órgãos de monitoramento) e as metas que os Estados precisam seguir para proteger melhor os direitos econômicos, sociais e culturais, e fornecer acesso efetivo à justiça nas Américas.
